My pompous ass

Willamette Week and the Oregonian both endorsed Earl Blumenauer this week, and I was shocked!  WW did a detailed and substantive analysis of the issues and concluded that I’m just a pompous ass with a pony tail.  Other than the fact that WW doesn’t know the difference between a pony tail and french braids, WW did 60 minutes of video with Jeff and Earl, so they must know what they are talking about.  Surely you reached the same conclusion after watching me debate Earl on health care and other national priorities.   Oh that’s right!  WW didn’t release any of that, did they, or bother to tell any of you about it, did they.  Hmm.   Maybe they’ll get that posted real soon (write  (Update/Correction:  Video is now available below:  Willamette Week Throw Down).  In the mean time, here are a few of the reasons why I think they are right.

1.  I had the guts to stand up and tell it like it is and not cower before them.

2.  I had the nerve to demand real accountability.

3.  I had the audacity to offer sustainable solutions for health care.

4.  I had the passion to defend enterprise and a vision to move the country forward.

5.  I had the courage to stand for a tolerant society based on respect for the individual.

Maybe they were right.  Or they are really afraid.  Just like the name calling establishment on the right.  We are definitely on to something.   At long last the establishment Democrats and Republicans agree on something:  Jeff is an enemy to the status quo.

Friends, this election belongs to you.  Join me.  Stand against this machine.  Chart a new course of sustainability and enterprise and let’s get this country moving again.  Don’t let the king’s men fool you.
